Flutterwave is a Nigerian payments firm and one of Africa's unicorns (companies valued over $1bn). It serves more than half the African continent, mediating cross-border transactions by holding registered offices and licences in multiple African countries, allowing it to bypass banks. It reportedly expects to go public in the next few years. The London Stock Exchange is trying to attract African listings such as Flutterwave's as a way to boost its disappointing record of tech listings.
To generalize is to be an idiot.
