Thorbjørn Jagland is a former prime minister of Norway. He served as head of the Nobel peace-prize committee and as secretary-general of the Council of Europe, a democracy watchdog.
Jeffrey Epstein's files revealed correspondence with Mr Jagland. "Putin is welcome to join for dinner," Epstein wrote to him in 2013. Mr Jagland appeared to discuss visiting Epstein's island, and seemed to apologise for bringing his wife: "I can't keep it going only with young women as you know." Norway's office of economic crimes is investigating him for possible corruption.
