Democratic Party governor of Maryland and an Afghanistan veteran. Moore is widely seen as a potential 2028 presidential candidate. He was raised by an immigrant single mother and was arrested for graffiti at the age of 11. In December 2025 he announced a push to help boys do better in school, including hiring more male teachers, of whom there are too few. He argues that male role models matter: "My mom was an angel, but she couldn't teach me how to be a man." On young men, he has said: "It's glaringly clear that we have ignored young men and boys in our society."
