Badr Albusaidi is the foreign minister of Oman. He mediated the most recent nuclear talks between America and Iran, which were twice on the verge of a deal before military strikes intervened. He has proposed linking bilateral American-Iranian negotiations to a wider regional process, designed to achieve a framework for transparency on nuclear energy in the Gulf Co-operation Council region.
